Fix a rocky or leaky toilet with a broken closet flange.
If your toilet is rocking either the flange bolts are broken or the flange is broken.
On my toilet one bolt was broken on the one side and on the other the pvc was broken around the bolt.
Parts needed - I bought them at Home Depot in Canada.
Toilet floor bolts 5/16" x 2 1/4" brass Moen part M5860 $5.00.
Flange Repair Kit - part SF-100 by Pro-Connect. (piece of steel to screw over the broken flange $5.00.
4 stainless steel screws #12 x 2" to screw down the flange.
1 wax or foam seal $5.00
This is pretty simple to do. I originally called a plumber and he did not show up so I tackled it myself. Probably one of the easier plumbing jobs I have done.
If your toilet is rocking fix it right away or you could have sewage leaking.
I am not a plumber.
