Ryobi Tek4 Lithium Ion Screwdriver Review
In this video I review the Ryobi Tek4 Lithium Ion Screwdriver.
https://youtu.be/kMlQOPfOrsE
This is the old version of this screwdriver. It seems in Ryobi's glorious wisdom (Not) They have removed the ability to break screws by turning with the handle w/o power. I show how this works near the end of the video.
From an amazon review here:
http://amzn.to/2ouFVXv
"It seems that the variable torque feature is also the reason that my old one lost it's one-way clutch action: this allowed me to "break" loose a stubborn screw using the leverage of the handle before zipping it out with the driver. SO: with the new model, rather than make the weak feature better, Ryobi has chosen to simply eliminate it. BAD DECISION!Now the old version is scarce as hens teeth ($149 for what was originally $39 ??? Really!?!?)"
So buyer beware if yout think the new version will be better.
